Review Policy

I review mostly young adult books, but I do read children's and some adult books from time to time. The length of the review will change depending on my opinion or the length of the book itself. I talk about characters, plot, the standard of writing, pros, cons, and when necessary other details such as the book's place in a series or comparison to other books by the author.

I began reviewing books for my own enjoyment and I want it to stay that way - but I will accept ARCs from publishers, though all my reviews are completely honest so I can't guarantee five stars for every book I receive! I will always try to be fair but whether I find the book myself or get it from a publisher, but that includes any negative qualms I may have had.

Genres:

There isn't really a particular genre like romance or paranormal that I review here so any young adult is fine with me - but be aware that with children's and adult books my interest is entirely subjective as they are not my main focus for reading or reviewing.

I'm afraid I won't be able to accept horror stories for review - I'm way too squeamish! It would be unfair to deprive another blogger of an ARC when I know all I'll do is give it away. I am not a particular fan of thrillers/mysteries, but I will give those a try.

About my reviews: 

My reviews include a publisher's blurb, my own detailed analysis of the book (avoiding spoilers if possible), the release date, and my own special rating system, plus an overall mark. My reviews include a balance of my opinions for the book and against the book.  Not all of my reviews are good but they are all completely honest.

I am currently a student and I don't always have a lot of time to read. I can't guarantee how quickly reviews will be posted but I do try and post them within the month of their release, if not the exact date, unless they are already released/from the library/bought. I occasionally hold themed weeks, in which case reviews may be held off in order to fit in with the theme. Most books I receive will be reviewed but I just can't get to them all.

Other features:

I love hosting giveaways, interviewing authors, participating in blog tours, and hosting memes, whether my own or borrowed from another blog. If you have any suggestions as to interesting features I can include, do not hesitate to mention them :)
